The GHS NHS chapter has FINALLY been able to make plans for spending our KVB grant money! Reusable/recyclable grocery bags are being ordered for an Earth Day event that happens every year here in Galax… NHS members (and I) will be there to man a booth with information on the importance of limiting the use of traditional plastic grocery bags. Prior to the event, we will advertise on our local cable access channel that we will offer recycling of plastic grocery bags that are brought in that day. Each person who stops by the booth will receive a FREE reusable/recyclable grocery bag to take home!
