Gloucester County will hold their second annual Clean Gloucester Day on Saturday, March 10 (inclement weather date March 17) from 8am till noon. Last year, 553 volunteers collected at least 12 tons of trash (that was just what was reported). Seems changing the law to stem the flow of littering is on everyone’s mind! In addition to the New Bill introduced by Delegate Morrisey, Delegate Keith Hodges has filed a comprehensive revision with the designation HB 758. The bill has been referred to the House Counties, Cities and Towns Committee and assigned to their Sub-Committee #2. The Clean Gloucester Day is one week away. The event will take place 8AM to 12Noon (website is http://www.gloucesterva.info/ and there is a link under In The Spotlight for
the First Clean Gloucester Day)…Right now we have about 40 groups throughout the county participating!

Gloucester County is sponsoring the First Clean Gloucester Day on 12 March. We’ve brought great public attention to the litter problem in our county, will offer household battery and aluminum recycling; HUGE positive response countywide!
