Chesapeake Bay Foundation Sponsors the Belle Isle Clean-up!
Sunday, February 26, 2012.
1:00pm until 3:00pm.
Belle Isle is located in the heart of the city and in the James River. The island is a very popular section of the James River Park system and is visited by hundreds of people every day. While it’s well loved, there is unfortunately also a lot of trash left behind by visitors and also collected in the many nooks and crannies of river rocks on the backside of the island.
There is a lot to do on Belle Isle – running and biking trails, rock climbing walls, sunbathing rocks galore, and excellent whitewater rapids! Join us on Sunday February 26th to give back and help clean it up! We’ll meet at 1:00pm at the Belle Isle Parking lot off Tredegar Street, check out the island and find some good places to pick up trash and then clean up for a couple hours.
WHEN: Feb. 26th 1:00pm – 3:00pm
WHERE: Belle Isle, Tredegar Street, Richmond, VA 23219, Parking lot
